Broccoli, cauliflower, and garlic fields in early May Notes on the week...All shares for the 2005 season have been sold. We’re looking forward to seeing you at the farm in May. The first pick up days will be Tuesday, May 24 and Thursday, May 26 between the hours of 3 and 7pm. Remember, you pick up once a week but you have two choices. Try to pick a day which most often suits you schedule consistently through the season and use the other day when your schedule conflicts. This method, so far, has worked to keep the traffic evenly split between the two days. You will get your farm share bag on the first day and can expect a selection of Asian greens and lettuces, radish, green onion, hopefully some beets and spinach. Keep your bag and use it all year, it’s yours forever. Don’t worry in case you forget it, we always have plastic bags available. (Some of our members are always good enough to drop off and restock our supply.) When you come to the farm the first day and all other pick up days the vegetables will be set up market style in the metal warehouse building. You will see exactly where, when you turn into the farm yard from Cincinnati-Dayton Rd. We suggest for your safety, that you use the upper drive when coming and going. It’s at the top of a small hill on Cinti.-Dayton rd. and you can see the oncoming traffic much better. There have been some scary moments when people have used the lower drive to enter and exit because oncoming traffic is fast and out of sight for a short while so please try to remember that when you come. We will have fresh, free range, brown eggs available at pick ups. They are $1.75 per dozen. There will also be available pasture raised poultry once a month. We will have a sign up sheet available a week or two before they are to be processed. The cost is $2.00 per pound. There is a $1.00 charge for each chicken that is pieced. Thanks for your support, Linda See past journal entries in our archives. Upcoming EventsPickups are Monday and Thursday (one or the other) between 3pm-7pm at 9424 Cincinnati-Dayton Road. Come into the big white barn and fill your bag with the fresh, delicious produce!! What's New?
